I called this company a few days before my actual out of state move with my need incl a run down of my belongings and they were able to accommodate on such short notice which was great. I received a 1 page informational sheet/contract with nothing else for me to sign agreeing to the charge which was $925. for: 2 man crew, 5 hours labor included. Any additional labor @ $60hr. Well, the incl 5 hrs labor was used up just packing the truck (Mind you, I did not have "rooms" of furniture. Note: they were unprepared with sufficient moving blankets/wrap so majority of my items went unprotected which were then placed carelessly and with no thought into the moving truck.
They did not arrive at my new location until about 9:30ish and left about 11:30/12am from 3pm.
When they began unpacking the truck, it was evident that they were mentally done and just began dumping my things wherever they saw space. When it came time for my bed frame and mattress, they just dumped the mattress on the floor! (2 mattress covers on the bed were ripped and torn due to them jamming, pulling and pushing it thru the front door to then only push my clean $1400.mattress along the dirty common area floor!) Didn't set up the platform. They outright expressed to me that they were too tired to set it up! Come to notice a few days later(I am single and sick and unable to maneuver a king size mattress alone), my bed platform was broken and missing parts as well as other damaged furniture They also took with them, my moving blankets which were said to be mailed back to me. I have yet to receive. They left without allowing me to look in the truck to confirm all was unpacked.
I emailed Emily with my dissatisfaction and concern about my broken furniture, treatment and of the bill that had increased by over $300!
She became very agitated and defensive not wanting to hear anything I had to say. Completely unwilling to replace my bed frame which cost all of $275 and unwilling to negotiate this $360 unjust charge(said to be 6hrs additional labor. Nonsense! They left my home at 3pm arriving at new home around 9:30 leaving new home at 11:30ish). She is charging me for the 6hrs "they" took getting to me. Inappropriate. In hopes of brushing me off, Emily even went so low as to accuse me of flirting with the boys and inviting them to stay the night. This accusation totally and completely put me into shock.
Firstly, that is not my nature; I do not conduct myself in that manner
2ndly, I am old enough to be their mother.
3rdly, I do not appreciate liars, ignorance and unprofessionalism. I have not heard from Emily. I have filed numerous complaints with a handful of agencies and an attorney!
*This is my experience and what I am having to go through. My landlord was present for the entire ordeal.
